About Nic’s Yoga - traditional yoga classes in a nurturing environment

My yoga classes here in Berry Springs, create space in your busy life to nurture your body and mind, while supporting your well-being and your lifestyle. Through guided and mysore (self-paced) classes, I teach a series of traditional yoga postures with a focus on connecting the breath with movement enabling my students to experience both the physical and emotional benefits of yoga. 

I intentionally keep my classes small, so I can focus on your individual needs; instructing, observing and guiding you as necessary. I cater for students with varying mobility and can modify our yoga poses to include a chair, a wall or other tools, to give you the extra support you need.

I've been in your shoes

After years of hairdressing, on my feet all day long, standing with a poor posture, I suffered reoccurring neck and shoulder pain. My twice-monthly physio and acupuncture appointments left me feeling okay for a week or so, but then the pain would return.



That's when I started doing yoga

It wasn't easy at first, but by stepping onto the mat each day I learnt how to correct my posture and to align and strengthen weaker parts of my body. With regular practice I went from a life of pain and frustration to leading an active lifestyle, moving more confidently and freely than ever before. I feel stronger now in my forties than I did in my twenties or early thirties! I can do things now, I never thought possible before I started regularly practising yoga.

Having completed 460 hours of teacher training through the International Yoga Teachers Association, plus Kids and Families teacher training through Rainbow Kids Yoga, I have a solid foundation in yoga instruction. I also attend yearly workshops with accredited yoga teachers to further my knowledge which I then share with my students.



I help beginners develop confidence in their ability as they settle into their practice and I encourage more experienced students to extend themselves and develop an even deeper appreciation of yoga. Regardless of where you are on this journey, I can guide you along the way just as my yoga teachers do for me.
